Living in Style, Annix Group, the client wants an ambient that befits the event yet featuring their high society products (yachting, fine dining, chandelier, watches, jewel, fashion, music etc.) at the same time. Since there is no actual physical building to project onto, Rock Nano proposes to use PANI large format projector to highlight the giant tentage on location at Keppel Bay. Hence, the over-sized tentage became the center of attraction where the high-end events are held. Idea: Rock Nano propose a series of artwork with the featured products embedded within, to create a form of ARTvertising. With the collaboration with PANI, we experiment with ARTvertising on another level. Solution: In an unprecedented move, large format PANI projectors are used to blast the artwork imageries onto a giant tentage (measuring 15m tall by 28m wide and 50m long). Insights: By applying it under the Art category instead of the Advertising, Rock Nano is able to get the license from BCA and URA at ease within

The John Martin’s department store would be regarded by many as the greatest South Australian company of the last century. Peter Barnes worked on the John Martin’s advertising account with Young & Rubicam Retail from 1988 to 1990, first as Senior Art Director, then rising to Creative Director and Acting General Manager in 1989, responsible for overall operations of the retail division. After a very thorough review of Young & Rubicam Retail in July 1989, at the time of Peter’s leadership, John Martin’s reaffirmed their confidence and commitment in the retail division. The John Martin’s department store group’s advertising account was the highest billing local South Australian advertising account at that time, and much prized. Peter also worked on the John Martin’s advertising account with Ogilvy & Mather Retail in 1985 and 1986, as Senior Art Director and Group Head. Peter was asked to take a lead role during a crucial review of the John Martin’s account by the client in 1985.
